First Grade Co-Teacher
As a First Grade Co-Teacher, I've had the opportunity to utilize large and small group strategies to differentiate lessons in reading, writing and math. First grade is a huge learning year where many children enter the door at various academic abilites. Because of this, I believe it is important to identify early on, the learning needs of each and every one of my students and work to differentiate each and every lesson so that every child feels supported and challenged. I also believe that as students begin to feel more challenged in first grade, they should not loose sight of the fun of learning. It is my hope that every one of my students continues to foster a love of learning and an appreciation for school. A child should come to school each day knowing that they are loved and supported by their teacher.
